Unlike with many other wildlife excursions offered around the world, finding sharks in the Maldives to swim with is practically a given, which is virtually unprecedented in the natural world. Maldives is home to over 25 species of sharks. The most common are the Black-Tip, White-Tip and Grey Reef Sharks. You are almost guaranteed to see an abundance of baby reef sharks around the shallow waters of the lagoon and quite often even find yourself swimming among them. These baby sharks are totally harmless and will most likely swim away if you come too close.
